In 2015, Christopher moved back to the Sault, his hometown, after 5 and a half years living, studying, and ministering in Los Angeles. After serving as interim pastor for a period and recognizing the Spirit’s lead, Christopher joined our team as lead pastor. He and his wife Sansaray have the heart to see all people knowing Jesus and living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. They both love the arts, music, story, and creativity in general. Christopher is a teacher, pastor, and counselor at heart. Sansaray is gifted in evangelism and prophecy. Together, they carry a heart for prayer and worship and a deep desire to help others find redemption and new life through a relationship with God.
I have the most amazing privilege to be the Kids Pastor here. I love kids! They are wonderful, and sweet, and bold, and courageous – they ask all the right questions without reserve and expect an answer (which means I have to make sure to give a good one!). They are free to be themselves in worship and in prayer and in life – and I just LOVE how much I’ve learned from each of them over the years because of the freedom and perspective they hold. This is the environment my team and I continue to try to cultivate. We desire a church environment where kids know they have a spot at the table. These little people are not only the church of tomorrow, but very much the church of today! And so, we invest our time into them – we nurture them, we come alongside them, we dance with them, we pray with them, we laugh and we cry – we do it all. Because kids are an incredibly ~AMAZING~ gift given to our community. Along with our kids, we get to minister to parents – come alongside them, give them a shoulder to cry on and a “Hey! I’ve been there – here’s what’s around the corner – you got this! God’s got you!”.
Liz is wife to Gideon, momma to Samuel, Levi and Phoebe. She doesn’t always get it right – however, day in and day out relies on Christ to help sustain this passion not only within the church, but within her home.
I first walked through the doors of SFMC in June of 2001. I was greeted by a friendly face, heard amazing music, and a thought-provoking message. It felt like home.
Being actively involved for more than 20 years has been a joy. I enjoy interacting with others, and to be an encouragement where I can. In Philippians 4:8 we are reminded that whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lively, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.
